What I do

I work with burned-out helping professionals with a history of trauma who struggle with chronic overthinking and overwhelm by using nervous-system-informed therapy to support emotional regulation, embodiment, and more sustainable ways of relating to work and relationships.

Who I Commonly Work With

I primarily work with adults who are considered high-functioning, insightful, and often seen by others as “having it together,” while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, shut down, or exhausted.

Many of the people I work with:

  • Are in helping professions or high-responsibility roles

  • Have a history of trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, and/or ADHD

  • Identify as Black, Brown, BIPOC, multiracial, queer, or as having lived experience of cultural or identity-based stress

  • Have previously been in talk therapy and found it helpful but incomplete

By the time they reach out, they are often experiencing burnout, anxiety, difficulty with boundaries, emotional overwhelm or numbness, physical stress symptoms, and a growing awareness that their long-standing coping strategies are no longer sustainable.

Clients frequently describe patterns such as over-functioning, emotional suppression, chronic self-monitoring, and prioritizing others’ needs at the expense of their own. These patterns may have supported success in demanding environments, but are now contributing to physical symptoms, relational strain, and nervous system exhaustion.

Common experiences include:

  • Feeling highly self-aware but disconnected from emotions or the body

  • Oscillating between anxiety and shutdown or numbness

  • Panic attacks, sleep disruption, GI issues, or unexplained physical tension

  • Strong reactions in medical or authority-based settings

Many say things like:

“I can talk about it, but it still feels stuck in my body.”

“I understand why I am the way I am. I just need something deeper.”

Services I Offer

I provide EMDR and nervous-system-oriented therapy for adults navigating the impact of trauma, chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, ADHD-related overwhelm, identity-based stress, racism in the workplace, and the long-term effects of masking and chronic adaptation.

Ongoing EMDR Therapy

Ongoing EMDR therapy is typically a good fit for clients who want paced, relational trauma work integrated into weekly sessions. This format allows time for preparation, nervous system regulation, and gradual processing within an ongoing therapeutic relationship.

EMDR Intensives

EMDR Intensives are designed for clients seeking focused trauma processing in a condensed time frame. Intensives may be a good option for people with limited availability, those traveling for care, or clients who want to work on a specific trauma target with extended session time.

EMDR Adjunct Therapy

EMDR Adjunct Therapy is a short-term option for clients who already have a primary therapist and want EMDR to address specific trauma targets. I provide EMDR processing only and do not function as the client’s ongoing or primary therapist.

When This Work Is a Good Fit

This work is often a good fit for people who:

  • Have engaged in talk therapy previously and developed insight

  • Are now looking to work beyond cognition and into emotional and nervous system experience

  • Are open to body-based approaches and trauma-informed pacing

  • Are willing to practice grounding and regulation skills between sessions

  • Want therapy that acknowledges the role of culture, identity, and systemic stress

When This May Not Be the Best Fit

This approach may not be the best fit if you:

  • Are seeking primarily skills-based, solution-focused, or coaching-style therapy

  • Prefer therapy that stays mostly cognitive or insight-based

  • Are not open to exploring emotional or body-based experiences

  • Are looking for monthly or infrequent therapy only

  • Want to move directly into trauma processing without preparation or stabilization work

Clear Exclusions & Safety Boundaries

This work is not a good fit for individuals who are seeking crisis support or who are currently experiencing active suicidality, unmanaged psychosis, or severe substance dependence.

Services Overview

I help adults who look capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, shut down, or exhausted on the inside. My work focuses on helping the nervous system recover from long-term stress and trauma so clients can feel more present, regulated, and connected in their daily lives.
